On the worldwide stage it appears that the fight to keep guns in the hands of private citizens is tilted towards firearm prohibitionists. In just the last year both New Zealand and Canada significantly tightened firearms ownership, both in response to separate mass-shootings, and have demanded their citizens hand over just about any effective modern firearm. The former enacted gun control via Parliamentary decision, and the latter used executive power; efforts exist against these corresponding decisions in both countries, with the Council of Licenced Firearms Owners mounting a campaign to resist and reform the decision, and the Canadian Shooting Sports Association challenging the legality of the executive action respectively. While it’s great to see gun owners in both nations work to overturn or revise those decisions, neither country recognizes the right to bear arms in their constitutions. In fact, there are only only three nations in the world that do: Guatemala, Mexico, and the United States.
There may soon be a fourth, however.
Recently a bill was introduced in Czechia’s senate to amend their constitution and formally codify the long-standing tradition of keeping arms for self-defense. The small Central European country has a rich history of producing quality firearms that dates back hundreds of years, and is one of the few nations in the world that permits the carrying of concealed firearms in public. The amendment states (translated courtesy of Google):
A summery of my take on the Fashion Place Mall shooting incident and what should a trained concealed carrier do if one were near or around where a similar incident.
I prefer to wait 24 to 48 hours before saying anything and making any comments after a larger scale shooting incident. This morning, more information is out, which agrees with my theory based on the initial information I received from one of my local news outlet, KSL LIVE: Continuing coverage on the shooting at Fashion Place Mall in Murray on Sunday afternoon.
Sunday around 3:30 pm local time, I was having brunch at a restaurant in South Jordan which is about 15-20 minutes drive from where I was at to the mall. While eating, I saw my local news feeds live stream on FB that a “shooting” at the Fashion Place Mall in Murray. It resulted in two people being injured. Wow it’s a shooting, the media make it look big, like always. Then an hour later, I saw the video along with photos of people being escorted in a line with their hands up (typical escorted evacuate setup we seen in many school and other shootings that occurred indoors) out of the mall. Local LEO and SWAT members were all around with their AR-15 carbines. Local media reported that there were three suspects (shooters?) that fled the area and are at “large.” Continue reading “Fashion Mall Shooting Incident in Murray, UT” »
An update on this gruesome attack that took place in Commifornia.
The victim offer to pay the attacker with what he had but in return, the victim received server blows with an ax.
I’ve mention before that complying doesn’t always work. This is based on multiple cases throughout the country in the past 5 years I’ve came across. You should never have the attacker decide your fate. Your life is 1000 times more precious than these low life thugs and no other human, scumbag has the right to end your life. This is my second review for Green Ops. It’s also my second class I attended with them. This after action feedback and review will be about the rifle class taught by the team. Being mainly a pistol person for four and a half years, I’m starting to venture on to learning how to use a rifle correctly, effectively and efficiently. In particular the AR platform. Most all civilians in the United States who carry a firearm daily for self protection carry a pistol. It’s imperative that we spend more time and money to train and practice on the tool we carry daily. On the other hand, many of us also own the most popular rifle in American known as the AR-15. AR doesn’t stand for Assault Rifle, it stands for ArmaLite after the company that developed it in the 1950s. The AR-15 rifle platform is very versatile, you can use it for hunting, target shooting or self defense. Whether you already own one or plan on acquiring one, you should know how to effectively and safely use this rifle. You probably don’t use it or carry it everyday with you but it’s good to know how-to when needed. For this class, students are not limited to just bringing an AR-15, there was one student who brought a Tavor 🙄 😀 . Continue reading “Green Ops – Defensive Carbine I AAR” »
For you fella ladies out there.
Thumbs up for this lady who decided not to be a victim. Learn how to use a knife to save yourself from being attack by a boogieman. In some situations a gun might not be the right tool for various reasons. I recommend carrying the Ka-Bar TDI straight knife in the Phlster sheath on your hip or appendix position for easy access and rapid deployment. In today’s world this can happen to anyone anywhere, keep your head up!
I’ve been traveling more frequently in the past three years, the more I observed and figured out ways to defend myself if such hostile situation were to present itself. A lot of us travel for leisure or work related, which is why we should take the appropriate steps keep our selves and love ones safe while lodging. First off, let’s start with an Infographic – Hotel for Single Gal, this also applies to single guys, family or groups as well.
Are you looking to advance your defensive pistol training skills to another level? If you live in Northern Virginia or vicinity, give Green Ops a shot. I’ll guarantee it’s worth your time and it will definitely upgrade your skills to a whole new level. Seconds is life, why not train with the best?

I had a colleague said he doesn’t need a gun or skills to protect himself from others. His comments were, “I always stay out of trouble, stay away from bad neighborhoods, mind my own business. If someone mugs me, I’ll just comply with them and give them my wallet.” Well, how naive and uninformed you are buddy. Criminals pick when and where, sometimes you can’t avoid them, you just have to be ready. Continue reading “Complying Doesn’t Mean You Will Be Safe” »
A brief rundown on what you should do in case of an active shooter(s) invent. This is taken from a retired Virginia Sheriffs Department captain.
1. At the first inkling, get in motion! Don’t hesitate, nor dither. Don’t freeze and stay in one place. Terrorists are weakest and least organized at the very beginning, as their plan is just starting to unfold. That is the time to make your move, whatever form that takes. As terrorists consolidate their control, your options will rapidly dry-up!
